Daniel is the firm's Court Clerk, with over 18 years' experience in litigation and court administration. Since joining Gateley in 2016, and following his secondment to Austen Hays in 2023, he has become a trusted adviser on court procedure and practice across the business.
Before joining the firm, Daniel spent more than eight years at the High Court of Justice, working alongside judges in the Commercial Court. This experience provided him with an exceptional understanding of court operations, procedural requirements and case management.
Daniel serves as the principal point of contact between the firm and the courts, ensuring that filings, applications and procedural steps are managed efficiently and in compliance with court rules and deadlines. He advises solicitors on a broad range of procedural matters and oversees the firm's online court filing platforms and court-facing systems. His expertise plays a key role in supporting the successful conduct of complex and high-value litigation.
